After decades of leading research and development of cobots, Germany’s Franka Emika started shipping their products to experts around the world in 2017. In this way, a worldwide partner network of software and hardware developers, distributors and suppliers has been established. The Franka Emika Panda soon became the best-selling robot system in the world.

Vision and mission

Franka Emika strives for a world in which everyone can use robots and believes they can achieve this by connecting the world. By combining human-centered design with German engineering, Franka Emika is able to achieve high performance with their products, without compromising on the accessibility of the technology.

The robot for everyone

The Panda has a very high sensitivity in all of its 7 axes. The 19″ control unit can be placed in server racks or in another location of your choice. The robot itself has a direct user interface that they call ‘The Pilot’. This makes it possible to program your robot in a simple way. The Panda is equipped with a very sensitive gripper, with a continue grasping force of 70N and a stroke of 80 mm it can almost grasp everything you want.

Franka world

After the succesful introduction of the Franka Emika Panda, the German company has continued work on a new digital robotics platform called Franka World. With this software they want to ‘connect the digital world with the physical world’.

Franka World makes it possible for researchers, partners, customer, developers and suppliers to communicate with each other. In addition, it provides access to products, services and the management of complete cobot fleets.
